Besides the equipments which I use, the journey and the actual presence of being under the night sky filled with stars, or on a misty morning hopping the clouds would clear for some epic sunrise, or the best of all, sitting waiting for hours shooting Timelapse, just for a 10seconds clip. Experiencing life in itself is beautiful.
Here are some recent work that I've been compiling.
Borneo
Our backyard, Borneo features some of the oldest and most biodiverse tropical rainforests on Earth, estimated to be roughly 130 million years old. The island shelters thousands of endemic plant and animal species. Besides that it also has some locations with the best dark skies in Southeast Asia. Deep interior regions, highlands, and rural pockets in Sabah and Sarawak achieve pristine Bortle Class 1 to Class 3 conditions, making them ideal for stargazing and viewing the Milkyway core after some of the must beautiful sunsets.
How it's done?
After sundown best to move in smaller groups, so you're not entirely alone in the dark, also smaller groups to reduce chances of getting in each others frame and accidental light flashes. Various applications are out there to find your alignment with the sky and foreground for planning. My personal favourites are Star Walk 2 and Stellarium. Equipments used are Sony A7iii, Sony Zeiss 50mm f/1.4, Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G, Tamron 70-300mm, Samyang 14mm f/2.8
Himalayas
Setting foot near the Himalayas itself is a journey of it's own. Also it may seem like a cheat code for photography, as everywhere we see is picture worthy. The Himalayas are a massive mountain system in Asia. They stretch 2,400 kilometers (1,500 miles) across five countries: Nepal, India, China, Bhutan, and Pakistan. They separate the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau and contain the world's highest peaks, including Mount Everest. This journey I went on was back in 2022 and 2025 to Annapurna Base Camp and Everest Base Camp.
How it's done?
Trekking in the Himalayas offers world-class mountain adventures across Nepal, India, and Bhutan. Images from these gallaries are from Iconic routes the Everest Base Camp Trek and the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal.
Loads of physical and mental preparation is required to endure the long hours and high altitude for several days. In the end, never give up and it will be all worth it.
Has all my gears in a waterproof bag, inside my hiking bag, due to the constantly changing weather.
